A free-standing jib crane is a floor-mounted lifting system designed to provide localized material handling around an individual workstation, machine or production area. Its self-supporting steel column is secured to a reinforced concrete foundation, allowing the jib arm to rotate independently without relying on a building wall or structural column.
JingShi SZJS-XBD free-standing jib cranes are commonly used for CNC machine loading, assembly operations, tool and mold handling, maintenance work and localized material transfer. Standard models are available with rated capacities of 125 kg, 250 kg and 500 kg. Engineered configurations with higher capacities, potentially up to 5 tons, are available according to the required working radius, lifting height, rotation range and installation conditions.
The jib length, lifting height, rotation angle, rail type, hoist, lifting attachment and operating mode can be configured to suit the customer's workstation layout and handling process.

The available capacity, jib length and lifting height cannot be selected independently. Final specifications depend on the combined load moment, operating frequency, slewing method, foundation conditions and lifting equipment configuration.
Selecting the correct crane requires more than confirming the load weight. The working radius, lifting height, operating frequency, lifting device and foundation conditions all affect the final design.
Q: Does it require a concrete foundation?
A: Yes. The crane generates an overturning moment at its base, so an appropriately designed concrete foundation and anchor bolt system are required. Foundation requirements depend on the rated capacity, jib length, lifting height and operating conditions.
Q: Can a free-standing jib crane be installed outdoors?
A: Outdoor configurations are available. The appropriate electrical protection, coating system, corrosion protection and weather-resistant lifting equipment should be selected according to wind exposure, temperature, humidity and environmental conditions.
Q: What information is needed for a quotation?
A: Please provide the maximum load weight, required working radius, lifting height, rotation range, operating frequency, lifting device, installation environment and available floor or foundation information. A workshop layout or installation photo is also helpful.
